Her Choice Was a Fantasy Fairy Costume For Halloween Night by Casey McCarthy
For Halloween all my little girl wanted was to wear a pretty little fairy costume. She has always been interested in fairies. The only thing is she wasn’t sure of what kind of fairy she wanted to be. I showed her a few fairy halloween costumes and she still hasn’t really made up her mind. We looked at a fairy fantasy costume and a princess fairy costume, but she keeps wanting to check out some more. She also looked at a gothic fairy costume and a woodland fairy costume. We decided to take a break and check out all the fairy accessories, like a cute little choker and wand. We looked at all the head pieces and wings for many of the fairy tale costumes in hopes of taking a rest from the costume search.
We had to pick out a costume for our little toddler girl too. I did find a fairy costume that was a little tulip and would look so cute on her. Well, actually there were two that would look cute on her. One was the pink tulip costume and the other was a purple sugar plum costume. They were the perfect size for our toddler daughter. Our daughter had this plan that we will all dress up in fairy outfits for halloween. I explained to her that Daddy might not go for that idea, and we may not be able to be a fairy family. I’m sure her Daddy wouldn’t go for the idea. It would be kind of cute to have the whole family dressed up in fairies costumes though.
He burst out laughing when I let him know about our little girls idea. I explained to our little girl that there are no boy fairies. But she corrected me by telling me that her movie has boy fairies in it. What kind of come back could I have for that? All I could do was keep her busy looking for her halloween outfit and hope she forgot her family fairy idea. We kept searching for her perfect costume with a fairy princess and other fairy tale costumes. There was a lot of them to look through. She did find one she thought would be perfect for me. She said since I was a mommy anyway, I should wear a fairy godmother costume. I promised to think it over and agreed with her that it would be a great costume for mommy.
After looking at costumes for the rest of us, we got back to looking for the perfect little girl fairy costume for her. Finally she spotted the one she wanted. She chose to wear a snowflake fairy costume. It really was one of the prettiest costumes. It was completely white and perfect for a snow fairy. The search had ended. Now we had to look for all the accessories she would need to go with it. We found the fairy wings and snowflake wand that was perfect for her little costume. We found the tiara for the snowflake fairy, and ordered that too. She was all set with white shoes and tights for it. Costume, accessories and everything our snowflake fairy needed was taken care of. We also had everything for her little sister ordered too. We decided she would be the tulip fairy.
We made some great choices in the props and decorations category. My husband is enjoying doing all this decorating for the holiday. Our little snowflake fairy is having fun helping her Dad decorate everything. She’s so excited about halloween this year. We all had to put on our costumes for her as soon as they got here. Her baby sister made an adorable little tulip fairy and her snowflake costume was absolutely beautiful. I chose the fairy godmother costume to wear for our daughter. Dear old Dad lost the battle, and is going to be the tooth fairy, after all.
